AX141520K provides one AX141520 High Speed Automotive Ethernet to Ethernet Converter, one AX070533 CAN cable, and one AX070535 Ethernet cable.
The AX070533 cable is a 12-pin M12, A-coded, CAN cable compatible with RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485. The cable is 1.5m (5 ft.) and features unterminated leads. The AX070535 cable is a 8-pin M12, A-coded, Ethernet cable with an Ethernet jack. The cable is 2m (6.5 ft.). The cables are mating connectors for the AX141520 connectors. The AX070535 cable mates with the 12-pin M12, A-coded, Ethernet connector and the AX070533 cable mates with the 8-pin M12, A-coded, Power / Automotive Ethernet / RS-232 / CAN connector.
The AX141520 High Speed Automotive Ethernet to Ethernet Converter provides a purely physical, bi-directional conversion between Automotive Ethernet (100BASE-T1, 1000BASE-T1) and Ethernet (1000BASE-T, 100BASE-TX) via PHY transceivers. The converter supports Automotive Ethernet baud rates of 100 Mbit/s and 1 Gbit/s (1000 Mbit/s) and an Ethernet baud rate of 1 Gbit/s. Featured status LEDs provide information on connection link and communication. The high speed converter is designed for the harsh environments of mining and off-highway equipment and industrial trucks. Automotive Ethernet networks use a 2 wire, twisted pair cable. Slave mode is the default configuration for the AX141520 Automotive Ethernet, however, the Master/Slave functionality is user configurable via the RS-232 port. The Master mode works if the connected device has its transceiver set to Slave mode. The Slave mode works when the connected device has its transceiver set to Master mode. Hard setting the Master/Slave relationship saves on setup-time costs and ensures that the Automotive Ethernet link is established quickly. As a comparison, regular Ethernet converters rely on auto-negotiation to determine Master and Slave.
